The skin is really waxy and rubbery. You can taste all the metal and fumes from whatever oven it was baked in, and it lingers on my lips even after wiping my mouth. It was an awakening experience, I started removing all the crust from all bread I eat just to be safe. It makes so much sense to me now, I mean you wouldn't want to eat the oven now would you?
