Metroid Zero Mission, as a remake of the first entry in the Metroid series, was a great return to form after the relative disappointment of Fusion with its locked-down linear gameplay. Not quite as strong as Super Metroid due to its Wario Land-derived physics engine and confinement to the Game Boy Advance, but it has everything else that made Super Metroid and the earlier games in the franchise fantastic.

Score: 9.0 (Fantastic!)

Incredible. I wasn't expecting such a great game when I started to play this thing. It's better than the original. I'm wondering how it would be if it was released on Wii or Wii U.

Score: 8.5 (Great!)

Solid gameplay, but I felt Nintendo misinterpreted their own creation by implementing hand holding, comic book scenes and stealth segments (a ridiculously long one at that).

Score: 7.5 (Good!)

A remake of the original in the vein of Super Metroid. It's good and vastly superior to the original (although I don't know if the extra final chapter is that great of an addition) but not really my thing.

Score: 8.0 (Great!)
