If only the 3DS version, like, performed decently. Now that would be nice.

How long do you guys think it'll be until we get a Fox Engine remake? (not pachinko, I see you fetching the link)
any other MGS games you expect to be remade? What do you think might be changed/added/improved?

Dr Eggnog I kinda liked Psycho Pass but I stopped watching after around eight episodes. Just a little too much crime mystery stuff in it for me. Digibro fucking loves that show.

A cinematic (cinematic gaming done right) epic with spies, jungles, motorcycle chases and REALLY old snipers. The ending proves that video games can create moments that just aren't possible in any other medium.

Score: 10.0 (Classic!)

I finally figured out why this game is so good; almost every boss explodes when you beat them. It makes absolutely no sense!

Dr Eggnog It's like how sometimes explosions will happen behind the Power Rangers for no reason other than awesomeness!

Bob GutSmasha Hmm, the Cobras are kind of like Powerrangers actually - except evil and in camo rather than rainbow.

Everyone knows this one. And yes, it's just as good as everyone says. While it's no surprise that the actual gameplay is often overlooked in comparison to the game's extremely memorable characters storyline, it's a crying shame: the game works as well as it does thanks to the strength of the gameplay and how the story always contributes to it. It's an excellent case study on how to create a strong ludonarrative experience.

The story of Naked Snake before he became the "Greatest Solider of the 20th Century" is one of the most enjoyable, complex and saddest character arcs a game on any system, not just the PS2, has to offer. Watching him grow into the man that will be known as Big Boss as you sneak through the jungles of Russia will give you an experience you can't and won't find anywhere else.

From boss battles that have you swimming under water to avoid bullet bees, to fighting a man hiding in the trees with Predator-like-stealth, to a 100 year old sniper in a battle that spans 3 vast forest areas that could possibly take hours to surpass you won't find an ounce of repetitiveness in this game.

Add in the new stealth gameplay in that of the camo index that sees you switching uniforms to better suit your surroundings, hunting for food and bandages to keep your stamina high, and the ability to hold guards hostage to gather information, MGS3 brings a breath of fresh air to the Metal Gear Solid series.

MGS3 has a smaller, more personal and more self-contained story than any other Metal Gear Solid game that still has likable and imaginative characters, lofty philosophical themes, and a unique mixture of japanese and western sensibilities. The stealth system is the most complicated and satisfying the series has ever had, with many different possibilities, and plenty of room for experimentation and mastery. The End is the best boss battle I've ever fought, requiring a great deal of strategy and patience as you engage in a duel of wits with a legendary sniper. It's the only MGS game I would recommend playing on it's own aside from (maybe) the first one, and with good reason, because it's a damn fine game.

Score: 9.0 (Fantastic!)

The chronological beginning to the MGS series. Following the tales of the legendary Big Boss as he goes through trials and tribulations in order to complete his mission to kill his mentor, who has betrayed her country in favor of the Soviets.

Pretty much everything in this game clicks for me in some way. Between sneaking through the jungle, procuring on site equipment for use during the mission, using various methods to get by undetected, hunting for food, the enemies you have to face and the story that unfolds as you go. This game's story is pretty philosophical and has actually helped influence how I see the world.

The game's controls do take some getting used to admittedly, but once you do get used to them, the game becomes an absolute blast.

Score: 9.0 (Fantastic!)
