You know, about 5 or something years ago I was sharing this hidden gem everywhere. Anime forums, friends who were into anime and manga, around Myanimelist. I was roleplaying as the main character as well, which made a couple of people go read the manga too. It was (and still is) my "go to" rec, I think it was the first page I made when I joined Favslist.
I know for most people it's just another manga, and for a guy like me who read around 250 manga and that wouldn't even call it "The Best", it should just trully be another manga. But I love Emanon, I consider myself to be the #1 fan of the character of Emanon. Back when I read it, in 2010 or 2011, it was a fairly underground manga as well.
Nowadays, while not mainstream, it's better well known, a standard read and recommendation between people who read manga often. It stands at number 347 in popularity on #MyAnimeList, which may not sound too high, but pretty much anything above 1000 in popularity there is pretty good. I'm not sure if I'm at all responsible for it, it would make me happy if that was the case, if the people I showed the manga ended up showing to more people and so forth. After all, the manga's first chapter was released in 2006, it took around 10 years to get a boost in popularity. But the artist has released some other work who got a bit more attention, which helps, and the scans of the manga where a mess when I read it first, not so much now. So maybe I'm not responsible at all for it.
Either way, they are finally translating it in English in an official and physical manner. It makes me so, so, so happy, far more than any other manga would, even if I'd rank it higher.
It's an important moment for me, and I'm going to buy it as soon as it's available. Hopefully this will make more people read it.

@Master Crash, it is a one-shot manga right? Maybe it should be transfered to the Book category instead of Media Collection. :)
