Some of this footage however goes way against welfare regulations and these people should face punitive measures, and knowing the internet and their clickbaiting, probably already did long ago. To insinuate that people don't realise that killing is a brutal practice is just nonsense. The issue is the lack of inspections and rules around the practice and strictly enforced guidelines would see us rid of the cruelty. Swift, painless deaths should be the priority, as well as decent conditions before death. People will not stop eating meat because of this anymore than posting pictured of diseased lungs stopped people smoking cigarettes. Improving the welfare of the animals is where we should be leading the argument. Raising awareness of cruelty is a good idea, but not all farms are like this and to tell people otherwise is sheer propaganda. Push for more transparency on where customer's meat comes from and let them make the change. At the end of the day, it is money that talks and they are the only ones in the position to fix this.
