Remind me to change my score from 8.5 to an 8 when Favslist is fully functional again. I recently played it with a friend and it's not as good as I remember. For example, most of the badges don't seem to have that much of an effect in battles, and in the second half of the game there is just too much battling all while the enemies are using an insane amount of different moves which further drag out the battles. Plus the game is more linear; a step back to the (almost) open world of its predecessor. Still a good game though.

There are two things in which "Partners in Time" is inferior to its predecessor: The lack of a big world with tons of secrets, and the humour and characters aren't that great compared to Superstar Saga. Despite these things, "Partners in Time" is a great Mario RPG game with a unique story and gameplay. For the first time the player is able to not only control Mario & Luigi in battles but also their baby counterparts. This leads to some interesting combo moves in combat but also outside. Players are able to collect beans and to wear badges and clothes similar to the predecessor. This game makes no use of the touchscreen/microphone but it's also not necessary in my opinion. "Partners in Time" is a fun traditional RPG.
