Les Sept Vies de l'Epervier (The Seven Lives of the Sparrowhawk) is a French comic written by Patrick Cothias and André Juillard. The comic takes place in France during the reign of Henry IV and involves a masked avenger who targets the oppressive aristocracy, among them the tyrannical Comte de Bruantfou. Ariane de Troïl, daughter to Bruantfou's closest neighbor, Baron Yvon, becomes fascinated with the masked man, little realizing that they are both linked together by events in the past.
