Kirby games are not difficult. As someone who is really bad at platformers, I can appreciate that. Whilst the likes of Mario and Donkey Kong are built for speed and precision, Kirby is a lot more forgiving. Triple Deluxe follows this pattern, encouraging you to take your time and explore the stages for hidden keychains.

I found the game to be very relaxing, and had a lot of fun taking each stage at my own pace, taking my time to travel though the world and take in the colourful scenery. That said, it knows how to ramp up the difficulty (somewhat) for the last world.

The latest in Kirby's adventures, Triple Deluxe (3D) is a load of fun and almost instant grab if you have a 3DS. It's only drawback is that, besides the final boss, the game is rather easy. That shouldn't put you off from at least trying it once.

This game totally blows my mind in how creative and fun it is. The level design is some of the best in the whole series, all the modes are fun and work well, with the exception of Dedede's Drum Dash which suffers from difficulty not due to player mistake but poor design. Coming after Kirby Return to Dreamland, a game which I did not enjoy,

Wow. Like, wow. I expected me to love this game but not as much as I ended up loving it. First of all, this game is gorgeous and one of the best looking game on the 3DS or at least for the cartoony atmosphere it was trying to create. The new abilities are all great and fun as hell and they took out all the abilities that weren't that fun. The whole campaign is just filled with variety and all levels are memorable. The bosses are creative and some of the most fun bosses I've ever fought. On top of that, the "Kirby Fighter" mini-game is surprisingly addicting and was the cause for hours and hours of fun with friends. The plot isn't very important but does give some twists and turns. But, the key word is fun so if you're looking for a challenging game, this isn't for you. But, as far as "for fun" platformers go, this is one of the best despite not having co-op campaign. It doesn't hold the nostalgia of Super Star Ultra, but it brings just as much to the table plus more.
