(then talking again).....blablabla * Maybe old movies have soft speech because they were not optimised for the home cinema? But when I watch some vhs tapes on my crt I actually sometimes think wow the sound is actually less spastic than in newer films. But there is definitely something weird going on in the sound and movies. Some movies are attention whores who want to seduce you with sound effects and music and other movies just want you to hear the dialogue and follow the story. Reminds me a bit of how commercials are always way way louder than the program you were watching.
