Editing … Man, I never played the second game cause it got all expensive. I should've bought it when it was cheap.

First great challenge is a child who won't move out of Hyde's way as he goes up the staircase. ffs you look 30 Hyde, just kick the little shit down the stairs. And to top it off the bitch trolls me in the end, should of dropped kicked her down those stairs.

Hotel Dusk is a really neat visual novel that's great to play on a boring rainy Sunday. It's like a lengthy picture book for adults. The pencil drawn character models are really nice looking, and the music is appropriate. The characters are really great and lovable, and Kyle makes a great protagonist because of the way he'll say something about virtually every object in the game. Getting stuck can be frustrating.

One could argue that it's more of an interactive novel than a game, but whatever you want to call it, it's fantastic. The writing is the best I've ever seen in a video game, with each character being 3 dimensional and having their own voice, and the story is highly engaging. The fantastic aesthetic created by the music and the unique "Take On Me"-esque visuals make the whole thing come together extremely well. The only real downsides are that the puzzles can occasionally be a bit obtuse and you sometimes have to poke around a bit to figure out what triggers the plot to continue.

The detective Kyle Hyde spends a few days at a quiet hotel where he intends to investigate the disappearance of his former partner, but soon he finds himself enclosed in the intertwined mystery behind the hotel itself.

"Hotel Dusk: Room 215" is a first-person point & click adventure game for the Nintendo DS which makes effective usage of the touch screen. The stylized pencil-sketchy graphics of the characters give a very fantastic and unique feel to the game and they make up for the rather poor 3D environment - it is more of a staffage anyway, since the core of the game really lies in the dialog where you spend most of the time.
