One of the true underrated games of the industry. The portable version of the first two HP games were categorized to their console counterparts, and unfairly so. Why? Because HP:CoS for the GBC is a great RPG that deserves much more praise than it gets. It followed the events of the books more than the film, and even had some dialogue lifted directly from the source material. This is the advantage that games based on adaptations of books have, and it really shows. It's a blatant and shameless Final Fantasy clone that takes the best aspects from the SNES titles and implements them beautifully. Plus, like in Earthbound, you could see your enemies and decide to face them if you wanted to. Hope to see this on the 3DS Virtual Console soon.

I was a big fan of both the book and movie, and HPCos is very good for a movie game. The graphics are pretty and high quality, the music is simply gorgeous, and the controls are fluid and easy to use, and it's nice being able to assign spells to buttons. The game isn't too linear or too aimless, and it's incredible being able to explore Hogwarts and its grounds. The spells are also really fun to use. I also like that the teachers send you and only you into dungeons seemingly designed to kill children.
