Gravity Rush 2 is comprised out of two halves. The first one that feels like an expansion with little substance to the overall experience of the first game and the second half that feels like a proper continuation of it. The first half greatly overstays its welcome and almost sours the entire experience, but thankfully the second half and especially the strong finish make Gravity Rush 2 a worthwhile sequel.
Pros: Beautiful visuals (especially in the first half), excellent second half and especially the ending and epilogue, great music, Kat is still as charming as ever, challenges, story and sidequests are excellent in the second half, taking photos is strangely addicting, cool online aspect, flying around and collecting gems is really fun, a ton of content
Cons: First half goes on for way too long and serves as nothing more than a padded out prologue, due to the design of the world in the first half challenges aren't all that great, stealth missions are terrible, sidequests in the first half go on for way too long and aren't all that interesting, story in the first half is full of unrealised potential, tone of the game is too bubbly for what is/should be going on in the first half, mining is a boring grind, camera can still be an issue in combat, features filters that work against the beautiful visuals, made up language grunts and almost exclusively comic panel presentation is disappointing
