It boggles the mind how much content was crammed into Chinatown Wars and most of it is of high quality. Chinatown Wars had Rockstar go back to their roots, but now with all the knowledge they accumulated across the years and games they made. The result is a fresh take on the oldschool GTA gameplay, that this time also features fantastic writing and production values.
Pros: Hilarious writing and cutscenes, Huang Lee is a fantastic lead and the rest of the cast is also excellent, astonishing amount of detail, diversity and size of the city, excellent and surprising variety in gameplay and mission types, superb visuals, plenty of side activities
Cons: Entirely forgettable soundtrack, frequent framerate issues and occasional odd graphical glitch, slippery vehicle handling, dense traffic and often narrow roads make driving seem like a crash course, once you reach a destination there are no checkpoints within missions, the 2 sec loading of the menu is seriously irritating
