Guys, gone home is apparently getting the ps4 and Xbox One port it so rightfully deserves.
The only question that remains is: is fulbright going to it themselves considering that other studio that initially wanted to port gone home to consoles went bankrupt?

Editing … I haven't played it myself, but I watched a 'Let's Play' on Youtube when it was first released. I thought it was a horror game to start with, but instead I found a poignant little character drama. For such a short game, it was really story-rich. I also thought the character-building was particularly strong considering you never actually meet any of them. The ending capped it all off and was quite touching. Glad you enjoyed it :)

Editing … It felt like the game was trying to fake you out into thinking it was a horror game and then was like "Ha! Fooled you! Teenage love story!"

Editing … Well I guess my suspicion was wrong. The ending was unexpected, beautiful and simply perfect, it provided the closure the characters deserved. I had tears in my eyes.

This is the pink elephant in my steam library. It is a game that I am really interested in, but I care more about other things then this. I think I will break this.... after a bunch of other games.

It looks good and functions well. There's a nice love story to be found that captures teenagers well and gave me some feels. I don't really know why it needed to be a game though. To The Moon had very game-like sprites so it would've been a very different experience in any other format. This had realistic-ish 3D graphics so it might as well have been a movie or tv episode or something. It also would have been nice if the main character was half as interesting as Sam, and it's only an hour long. Still, it accomplished what it set out to do pretty well.

So apparently the reason why there is still no PS4 version of Gone Home and Costume Quest 2 (at least in Europe) is, that the devs who were responsible for the ports went under. A damn shame.

Gone Home has a powerful story to tell and the whole game is built around it. But this game isn't for everyone, however fantastic the story is. Those who emphasize the importance of gameplay and who put it high above the story department, should probably give it a pass. But those who value story, world building, writing and characters the most should definitely check it out, but again a fair warning - there's very little gameplay to be found here and you'll spend most of your time wandering around the house exploring, piecing together and listening to the story.
Pros: Exceptional voice acting, fantastic writing, superb story(telling) and characters, attention to detail makes the world, house and characters feel authentic, great atmosphere, magnificent exploration
Cons: Visuals make the environment feel too sterile, ''ghostly'' avatar, little gameplay to be found, music cuts off too soon

Editing … At GamesCom it was announced that there'll be a PS4 port, so I'm going to have to wait a little longer, because I generally prefer the dualshock 4 to keyboard and mouse.
