I know some people hate it, but come on. You gotta love him. He's fighting for the woman he loves. A stipper girl or...something. I mean, he doesn't fight for honor, but...Oh forget you guys. I just feel for cocky assholes who survive torture and fight for payback. And uh...his theme songs have the best hip-hop songs.

Editing … I don't hate it, I just don't think it's funny. And I don't get speaking to the camera. If 5 is average then it's around that area, 4-6.

Editing … Humour is a tough genre to crack, as it's so subjective. The best thing you can do is just make the movie YOU want to make and fill it with things YOU find funny. This is exactly what Ryan and the crew have done, and it shows. I loved both movies :)

At first I was really liking it. The first action scene and the beginning of the love story worked quite well for me. Then it lost me with the torture. Can't believe nodley called this a movie for 9 year olds, this was too unpleasant for me too enjoy as an adult. Much too messed up and ugly for a comedy. It had its high points and I didn't hate it, but I disliked more than I liked. Gratuitous.

Editing … I felt the movie was trying to push the idea that Wade's sense of humor and cavalier attitude is how he copes with his physical and emotional pain. Even before his mutation is activated we see him joking around and bonding with Vanessa by comparing their fucked up upbringings full of poverty and abuse. I found that aspect pretty compelling and a clever device for mixing genres. I also felt the zany tone for the first half of the movie made the mutation scene hit a lot harder. Wade laughs everything off until he's horribly wronged, and then he's genuinely scared and upset. I felt REALLY bad for him, which brilliantly set up the revenge plot.

@Ulty nailed it with his review, this film is just so forced it's not funny. It does have the odd funny moment but they are all when it's allowed to flow, none of this fourth wall bullshit or forced crap.

Overall, I wouldn't say it's that special, but it does have some stand-out qualities. I really like Deadpool as a character and his origin story, and the movie's treatment of its female characters is great. The humor does seem very forced and is just eye roll inducing probably 9 times out of 10. For the amount that people talk up the comedy aspect, that part fell pretty flat for me.

It's okay, I guess. Wasn't as bored as I usually am when it comes to this shit, so that's something I guess. Still not that great though. Found that the jokes rarely worked and when they did they weren't all that great, mostly just a simple chuckle really. Doesn't help that the jokes are rather one-dimension and not all that clever. "Your face looks like two avocados fucked each other" or the blind lady who cannot put up IKEA furniture... cause she's blind ... yea I'm not 12. 4th wall breaking feels ham-fisted, again suffering from not being all that clever or inspired - really it's sort of works as a rather lazy way to establish a character motivation. Just not a clever movie whatsoever, which given the antics of the title character I thought would of been a given.

When the wit can been seen in the jokes - which is rare and isn't all the good - the movie shines a bit, just a shame it doesn't shine all that often.

#Deadpool is my least favorite Marvel movie. The character is everything I despise in this actual society, from the language to the anarchist philosophy that's ruining our century. It felt like a #Grand Theft Auto game with sex, violence, swears and drugs, and the only thing that makes me give it an average score is a part of the humor with the 4th wall and the good work on the scenario.
    Extremely disappointed.

Editing … I even thought the 4th wall breaking humor was so forced. Watching this movie is like listening to that kid in high school telling jokes to everybody, who thinks he's so funny but everyone around him just feels like punching him in the face. Awful, awful movie.

Editing … I read Deadpool comics and it felt much better than the movie. The humor makes a huge part of the character's reputation, and they could've easily done better. I'm sure a kid could find an even better joke than what they did in less than five minutes.

    I really hate this movie...

My review is simple: it's not funny. The problem for me was the jokes felt WAY too forced. The 4th wall breaking was uninspired, the constant pop culture and internet meme references were cringeworthy and felt shoe horned in to make it appealing to today's social media generation. The story is really nothing special, no interesting things about it at all. Good things were the action scenes and the CGI, not great but still good.

My hatred for this film goes deeper, though...this is gonna be one of those films that everyone I know will love, and then when I come and say "I thought it was pretty bad", everyone's gonna jump at me with "That's Deadpool", "You just don't get it" or the classic "You don't have a sense of humor". And what am I suppose to respond to that? I can't argue my way out of that because that's what they'll think of me anyway - a boring joy kill, with no sense of humor...

I left the theater feeling like shit...

Editing … Yeah, the seemingly very forced humor from the bits of the movie I've seen kinda put me off wanting to see it. Shame too since I wanted to support it, since it made a lot of straight dudes mad after it was pointed out that Deadpool is a canon pansexual lol

Editing … I wouldn't judge based on the trailers. I wasn't a fan of the bits like "Did I leave the stove on," or "I'm touching myself tonight," and I was hoping at some point Wade would say "What, you're expecting me to say that thing you heard 1000 times in the trailers?" but sadly it was a missed opportunity. Same goes for the CG test footage from ages ago. Lines like "I'm pregnant, Trevor" induced more groans than laughter. That said, the movie had me giggling hysterically throughout. The jokes were certainly not limited to referential humor, and a lot of the referential jokes were actually fairly underplayed if you ask me. There were several points where I was roaring with laughter and other people in the audience were dead silent and giving me looks because they evidently didn't get it. You don't need to be a massive comic book geek, but it certainly helps to have an affinity for the X-Men film franchise.

I had a great experience watching this movie. It was definitely due in part to the group of friends I saw this with. It's one of those films that works a lot better when you're with the right crowd in a laid back mood. They really nailed the humor and the character of Deadpool, and I was surprised in how much I was invested in the characters and the romance, which felt grounded and realistic yet fun and over the top. I also really liked the way the film was structured and how the information is presented to the audience and I think it's one of the main reasons why the main character is so likable. The conflict Deadpool faces is much more personal than most other super hero movies that stick with the standard "save the world" trope which is growing stale in my opinion. My only real gripes with the movie are that the fact that X-Men secondary characters and the main villain are kind of flat and uninteresting. I also found the visual design of the film to be pretty boring.

Editing … With how much fun they had with the jokes and gags, it really made me wish that they translated that same energy and playfulness more effectively into the visuals and it really seems like a missed opportunity.

Right from the opening credits, I knew I was in for a treat.
#Ryan Reynolds is one sexy piece of ass, and even made that Deadpool suit look hot as fuck. Also the rest of the movie was good too.
The film was hilarious, the fourth and sixteenth wall breaks were awesome, and even the "action movie romance plot" was very well played, and actually had me give a damn about the character's love life. Even the choreography was impressive, which shocked me, as I'd become incredibly bored of the typical superhero spectacle fist-fights (I'm looking at you, BvS trailer).
This puts almost every previous superhero movie to shame. #Marvel, #Detective Comics Comics, step up your game!
Now excuse me, I have 12GB of Ryan Reynolds porn to masturbate to.
