    Boy was I wrong, this game really went into the shitter in it's last half. Lots of unfair deaths, poor balancing of upgrades, bad checkpointing, and piss poor dialogue/voice acting. All the unique richness of the environment just turned into drab mechanical hallways and boring same old same old. They throw so many enemies at you in the end that I literally was just running around them instead of stopping to fight. What a waste, gonna coop Dead Space 3 with a buddy next. At least that should make it a little more entertaining

    I'm on Chapter 6 and it's very good so far. It's giving off real Bioshock 2 vibes. As in it's a more action focused expansion to a universe that was built on a tense horror framework. Enemies are more varied, set pieces are bigger, the locations are vibrant and full of life, and the combat feels improved. But it feels like an expansion on what already made the first one great. However stomping on enemies for pickups and the amount of transitional elevators/vents is ridiculous.

    The sequel to Dead Space.

    "Best game of 2008. Horror and action found the right mix. Immersive gameplay with a layered story which connects with its audience. Sheer terror. Resident Evil 2, reincarnated. Gives me hope for future."

    My hope renewed. Silent Hill 2, reincarnated.

    Dead Space was really cool, but after a few hours the level layout, pacing, and cast of enemies started to get repetitive. Visceral Games fixed all of these issues in Dead Space 2 and took players on a space roller coaster ride to Hell where something cool was waiting around every corner.

    This game is exactly what I expected it to be; an excellent sequel to an already well done video game, it kept everything that made the first game a hit and I think this alone is a good thing IMO, sure there was place for improvement but I personally was very satisfied with the experience overall; the multiplayer really wasn't worth. The story was good, the characters where very good too and nice gameplay mechanics and can be scary too. It's a great survival horror, well worth the time and money spent.

    An ok sequel, but the first one is superior in every way. Gone are the permanent tension, the feeling of alienation, the scares, the stressful enemies. The introduction of vents is completely pointless. Why the hell put them in the game if absolutely nothing at all is gonna happen inside them? Might as well run from point A to B, it's faster . It does have a few cool set pieces, but the horror is watered down when compared to the first.

    The true survival horror. It's scary, it's claustrophobic, it's dangerous. I usually hate all the EA franchises, but this game is a sweet exception. Isaac Clarke is one of my favorite video game heroes. This time we went deeper in the story of the unitologists, the good mechanics of DS became even better and the necromorphs became even more scary. I just can't play this game again, because I'm scared, but I recomend this masterpiece to everyone.
