Probably one of my favorites from the ill-fated music Hero series. The controls are great and it gave me the cool feeling of working the turntables, without all the maintenance and audio connection tedium. Too bad it received absolutely no buzz or massive sales numbers.

You'd NEVER guess that a music game would be THIS much fun. DJ Hero had a great concept, and even though it spawned off of the Hero franchise, it had enough innovation to stand out amongst the gratuitous amount of rhythm games. The soundtrack is brilliantly designed, making (almost) every single track just as much fun to listen to as to play. Whether it's The Jackson 5, Weezer, The Beastie Boys, or Daft Punk, every mix is surprisingly well-made, balancing the old with the new. Yeah, it does have a learning curve, but it was that curve that made completing a song with 100% accuracy that much more rewarding. DJ Hero is the best music game there is, and it's a shame to see it die off so soon by its parent's hand. Thanks a lot, Guitar Hero.
