Editing … I know you're a fan but c'mon Ulty how is he right not to care? FIFA have been blantantly corrupt for years leeching off the sport and dragging its name through the mud in the process. Maybe the worst thing they've done is awarding the World Cup to Qatar, such a terrible location for a summer football tournament that it's pretty obvious there must have been bribery in the voting process meaning that now Qatar's rushing to build football stadiums and infrastructure using cruelly exploited migrant labour and on top of that the tournament will still have to be moved to winter disrupting all the domestic leagues and the Champion's League. It takes a real ass to be at the heart of football with a chance to highlight all of that and instead to petulantly storm off saying he doesn't "give a f***" when asked what he thinks because he only wanted to talk about the headphone's he's promoting.

Editing … Actually i'm not that big a fan of Cristiano, but ok...I completely agree with you on FIFA being the most disgustingly corrupt people in the world today, but yes Ronaldo has no business talking about them especially when he was there promoting a product. The questions were supposed to be directed at him and the product, and they're asking them about fucking FIFA...i'd be pissed too. You don't see any other big name footballer doing it, and there's a reason for that. I don't like him as a person either, but I know if I were at a press conference about my channel or whatever, and people would ask me about the Portuguese government i'd do the exact same thing Ronaldo did. It's disrespect at it's best...

Editing … You're not a fan? My bad. In my defence you support Real, you're Portuguese and he's on your ATF players list so it was easy to assume. ---------------------Anyway I totally disagree. Ronaldo is a professional footballer, FIFA are the sport's governing body, it is totally his business to be asked about them and unless he's so self centred he doesn't give a damn about his own sport you'd expect him to have an opinion. If he just didn't have the nerve to express that opinion in case there are repercussions then that would've been cowardly (he's one of the world's best players at one of the world's biggest clubs, he'd be fine) but far from unique in that cowardice since sadly a lot of players/managers don't seem to want to talk about it. He was worse than that though, he not only didn't want to talk about it, he petulantly stormed out of an interview because a journalist tried to ask him about the most important issue in football instead of something vacuous. -----------------------------------------------------------He was trying to promote some headphones and it's disrespectful not to go along with that? Why? Headphones aren't news and the media isn't obliged to be interested in them. If I was a journalist and a high profile footballer tried to cash in on their celebrity to promote a product through an interview with me I'd expect that as a trade off I'd get the chance to get to ask them about way more important things too.

My dear reader are why are you reading my opinion on the perfect Cristiano Ronaldo? Have you any doubt that he is the best footballer to ever grace a pitch? Don't agree with me and would rather go on the infinite debate between CR7 and Messi? Well, I prefer to move away from that and just point you to watch him play. Your move.

Editing … No disrespect to Ronaldo, but he's NOT the best player to ever grace a pitch. He's better than Messi, no doubt about that, but to compare Ronaldo with Maradona, Pele, Cruyff or even Eusebio or Zidane is just insane :O

Editing … I personally admit to having never seen Eusebio or Cruyff. Pele and Maradona are ridiculously amazing in football but they ruined everything for me with their fights, scandals, tantrums, etc... I just think Ronaldo 7 is the best because of all the factors combined. You also have to mention Brazilians Ronaldo and Ronaldinho they're up there too!

Editing … You may have a point there, but Ronaldo doesn't have nearly as much technique or dribble as Maradona, not nearly as much vision and pass quality as Cruyff or Zidane or even better finish than Pele, and saying otherwise is downright wrong IMO. I get that "good football" depends on what each person likes watching, but quality is a completely different story and should be judged accordingly. No diss to you though, was just giving my 2 cents on the matter and saying Ronaldo deserves to be that high shows your passion and respect for the sport :)

My only criticism of Ronaldo is that he isn't as talented as Messi. His drive and determination almost make up the difference and is second to none.

I think they are very close in terms of overall ability, don't get me wrong, I just think Messi is the more talented.

Editing … Iniesta is, easily, the most talented player in the world right now. But even though I disagree, I get what you're saying. As much as I enjoy watching both of them play, they're dependant on something else to really shine (specially Messi). Iniesta isn't, that's why he deserves to be alongside the all time legends much more than Messi or Ronaldo. Legends like Maradona, Garrincha, Cruyff, Eusébio, Di Stéfano, Best, etc. literally carried the teams they were in by themselves. Some more successful than others, but you get the idea. I just think Messi gets way too many critical praise, even though he is truly phenomenal. And even though I think Ronaldo is the superior player overall, even he gets some baffling praise. Remember when Ferguson said Ronaldo was the next Pele or Maradona? No disrespect to the man, he's probably the best manager of all time, but what? Really?! xD

Great player. One of the greatest of his generation, and one of the best in the world (yes, better than Messi). He has alot of flaws, like inconsistent performances and crying over fouls that don't exist, but even so that's worringly common these days. Amazing dribble, unstoppable power, very good shot and great teamplay. So sad that his brilliance came in a time where FIFA/UEFA wants to shove down everyone's throats how "legendary" Messi is...
