Saved!Husky WingEditing … Honestly, based on gameplay footage (so to be generous, has been compressed), every Crackdown game looks a generation outdated, and in some cases seems to lack any sort of coherent artstyle. Watching Crackdown 1 & 2 gameplay, to me, looks like watching some early access asset flip. Crackdown 3 doesn't look much better. I feel insane watching this AAA gameplay and thinking "am I the only one who sees an absolute mess?!"
Saved!SandvichEditing … Well clearly you're not since it's getting savaged with scores barely above those of Fallout 76. Crackdown 1 didn't look cutting edge but was fine for 2007. Earth Defense Force 2017 was a game from the same year that actually looked a generation behind. Sure we had games like Gears and Uncharted back then, but most of them looked more like Halo 3, Mass Effect, or um, er.... Prey. Look at more open world fare like Saints Row or Dead Rising and it looks even more favorable. Hell, I'd say Crackdown's visuals have aged better than GTAIV's aesthetically speaking.
