Saved!MagwazaEditing … Because all the lessons Tomoya learned in the previous episodes are ruined by them. It would have been way better to end the anime with episode 19. The light orb end works in the visual novel, but in the anime it just felt forced. Ending the anime after episode 19 wouldn't even be a bad ending. Tomoya finally makes up with his father and promises to be a better father himself. It's actually a really good ending.
Saved!ded manEditing … I agree completely. I'm going to talk about spoilers now so be prepared. Having the daughter die was WAY unnecessary. It was forcefully sad and completely spoiled the sincerely sad moments throughout series. If an ending to a series is going to be sad, you need to either have a glimmer of hope for a relatable character or a solid/powerful message. Clannad: After Story's message was basically life sucks and bad things are going to happen to you even if it isn't your fault and you don't deserve it. But maybe if your lucky you become a robot and then be dropped in a reality where your wife didn't die. It's infuriating.
