Hey everyone, remember this stupid thing?

I just dug up mine from a box of junk to see if it'd work with Dragon Quest VIII and... HOLY SHIT IT WORKS! Every source on the internet says it doesn't, but it totally does. Maybe these people need to change the battery first. Or maybe they removed support from the western release, which would be a strange thing to do, especially since it supports the New 3DS analog nub.

Makes me wonder how many other games I've missed out on... Are Dragon Quest Monsters 1, 2 and Joker 3 gonna work? Now I gotta check...

Anyway, what a dumb device this was. To think they released it WITHIN A YEAR of console launch. If a second analog pad was so important, why didn't you just add one in the first place?

Editing … "Or maybe they removed support from the western release" jeez, why not check first before accusing people of being wrong. :p Though the battery theory is pretty funny.

Editing … I thought that supporting the new one but not the old is like a regular thing, or do I thought? Smash Bros did it. That's what I find odd about all this. It almost makes sense, Ninty doesn't want their New model to be upstaged by an add-on, that would be embarrassing for them and would make ppl want the new one less.

Editing … Vita has two sticks far superior to anything on a handheld but it gets no support. =.=
