Chaos on Deponia has been a blast. Except some of the puzzles are frustrating. I had to look up a guide once or twice to figure out some of the dialogue-based puzzles. These sections were annoying, but some of the other scenes made me bust out laughing.

To say the least, there's a lot more crazy violence in this game. The developers must really hate animal cruelty, because there's two scenes where animals are killing (or almost killing) people in the most illogical ways possible. On top of that, Rufus literally fulfills a wildlife preservation quest to save alien platypusses...platypi...whatever...

So yeah, this sequel fleshed out the bizarre environment of this steampunk series and made everything a lot more humorous. It's not perfect, but it's a big improvement over the first game.

I have grown rather tired of half-assed, would-be funny adventure games that desperately try (and fail) to revive the good old days of LucasArts. "Chaos on Deponia" and its prequel "Deponia" are the exception. Decent production value, well-balanced puzzles and a (mostly) witty script bring back fond memories of "Day of the Tentacle" and "Monkey Island".
