So Bravely Second has been out in the States for 2 months now (and apparently 4 months in Europe, which isn't something that happens very often...), but I feel like it just came and went without any fanfare. I didn't hear anything about it at the time of its release, which is surprising considering the first game was such a big deal.

I only just started playing the first game 2 weeks ago after picking up For the Sequel in Japan (gotta have that uncensored version), and I'm in chapter 3 and loving it. Though I hear the game turns into groundhog day from chapter 5 on, which is unfortunate. We'll see how that turns out.

Anyway, how does Bravely Second compare? It seems it did very poorly in Japan, with the current going rate for a used copy being 500 yen, which is basically junk-bin level. It also has 3/5 stars on Amazon.jp. Is it that bad? I mean, the English reviews seem about the same as the first game. With the original still being very expensive in Europe and finding a good deal on the sequel, I went ahead and ordered it already, so it'll be waiting for me when I finish the first.

After over 40 hrs I am still in the first chapter. This is just getting better and better. "Let's bust the BALLS!" [/ba-als] XD
