Borderlands 2 is an action role-playing first-person shooter video game, developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games on September 18, 2012. It is the second game in the Borderlands series and the sequel to 2009's Borderlands. The game was released for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and OS X platforms. It was ported to the PlayStation Vita on May 13, 2014, and released for Linux on September 30, 2014. As with the first game, Borderlands 2 allows players to complete a campaign consisting of central quests and optional side-missions as one of four treasure seekers, "Vault Hunters", on the planet Pandora. Key gameplay features from the original game, such as online collaborative campaign gameplay; randomly generated loot, such as weapons and shields; and character-building elements commonly found in role-playing video games are in Borderlands 2.     It seems I've found myself in one of Silent Gamer's gaming ruts. I just can't seem to find anything I'm enjoying.
    I'm pretty sad after starting Borderlands 2. The UI is... so fucking awful. I hate this menu system. This inventory is the worst. Maybe it's alright if you've been playing with a gamepad, but this is horrendous with a mouse. I also don't like the change from using a compass to going with a dumb little minimap.
    There's also a lot more talking, and I don't find the Borderlands' writing funny, so it's just annoying. Maybe I'll mute dialogue?
    But fuck, that menu UI's actually killing the game for me. It's so sluggish and bulky, yet still using so little of the screen's real estate, and the game's not moddable enough for anyone to fix it.
    The inventory alone may have killed my enjoyment of this game. The game's LOOTING is like, what, its most attractive feature? Now it sucks.

      Editing … Couldn`t enjoy it either for slightly different reasons. Had no problems with the dialogue, more or less like the jokes attempt. But for the map i agree had issues with that considered it as not handy. The game lacks the charme to keep you in, if its a chore to play for an hour something is wrong. Menu wasn`t appealing on 360 either and looting also no fun, but the worst was the skill tree, i hated it. Considered this as a gamebreaker had for my char imo only useless crap to select from! Why should i level up when i get nothing interesting? First Borderlands had some stupid moments but it kept me interested, reason for pc version purchase.

      Editing … I just stopped because the concept was weird to me. Dude, I like this character editor but how come I don't get too look as cool as Roland? Sigh...I stopped for other reasons, but that idea just bothered me the most.

    NEVER STOP THE KILLING! NEVER!!!!

    To me, Borderlands is a series that is "ok". But Borderlands 2 has Krieg, and he's a damn load of fun to play. There is nothing like going around murdering people with a buzzsaw as their bullets just get absorbed. More games need Krieg, dammit.

    I loved this game for a little while, but got burnt out by the 10 hour mark. Ranking it as my 88th favorite game.

    If I continue to like this game as much as I have in its first 7 hours, it'll compete with Fallout 3 and Far Cry 3 for my favorite FPS.

      Editing … I really don't think of Fallout 3 as an FPS, it's a great sandbox and a great RPG but as a shooter it's pretty average.

      Editing … I spend a lot more time in Fallout 3 shooting than I do looking at numbers or doing silly bullshit so I call it an open world FPS, like with Far Cry 3. I also call Resident Evil 4 a third person shooter instead of a survival horror game though so I might be weird.

    i like playing borderlands because i like strategy games, and its a fun game. i also like the weapons.
