    I just refer to this as the laser tag album, because the band plays with "real lasers" in one of their music videos or something? Eh. Needed more blood.

    I sort of miss the days when the Black Keys played old-school blues rock. Even when Danger Mouse first worked with them, they were still pretty authentic. I guess any band would get tired of playing the same thing for so many years.

    The Black Keys needed more leverage after switching record companies, so they signed DJ Danger Mouse to help them with produced albums. His assistance turned the band into a blues/garage rock phenomenon. To this day, I still think that Attack & Release is an absolutely underrated collection of some of the Black Keys' best work.
