It took me years to even start an #Assassin's Creed game, and as everyone did before me, I said "wow!" before "well". It's a great experience, the concept is excellent, but the story is cheap. I didn't even bother to finish all the sidequests with the flags, it's going on and on and it's not rewarding. But I'm still glad I finished it because I don't often watch the end of a game! I liked the protagonist, #Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, and the #Desmond Miles side-story is the most interesting part of the adventure. The final boss fight was lame though but the final scene was gripping. Gamers have to try it but not linger.

This is one of those games I could never finish because of how bad it is. I tried, I really did, but time can't be wasted like that. Too repetitive, bad controls, uninteresting story. I give it props for being a very good concept, but it definitely lacks on execution.

I had fun with Assassin's Creed, but there wasn't much to do in the open world, and the story was bland and repetitive. Altaïr wasn't the most likable character either, but this was a decent start to the franchise, and the open world was very pretty. I like pretty.

The game that started it all. Still one of my favourite AC's. It's a lot harder than the newer ones too.

I already loved Ubi Soft's Prince of Persia-style games. Assassin's Creed took that concept to a whole new level. Now I can jump around rooftops in a wide, open world of cities and people. I can also hunt for flags and kill random people.

Oh yeah, the story's decent too. I think I had too much fun with everything else, though.

This is one of the best games that I have ever played, the story is awesome and it keeps getting better and better with every game, as a Syrian I find the landscape magnificent and very familiar, the gameplay is awesome and the missions or assassination contracts are just great.

Example of early games this generation being more flash than substance. Much of the premise of this game is very good, as is the stealth + platforming gameplay in concept, but the scenarios are very repetitive and so are the story beats. As neat as it is to see games explore setting like the Crusades, the gameplay, while good in spots, needed more work.

This is a game that had so much untapped potential but so many flaws and was vastly inferior to both AC2 and AC: B. Here's why: the progression is long boring cutscene, horse travel, long boring cutscene about target, repetitive tasks to get to target, boring open fight with target which is just a counter-fest. This all would have been better if the game had just allowed me to actually stealth-assassinate a majority of the targets, as an assassin should not be in boring, slow fights. For all its faults, the cities are beautiful, and the story is pretty interesting (a combo of historical fiction and sci-fi), but it's still the worst game I've finished, although I try to play great games only, so that's not that bad of an insult.

AC1 is an action-adventure which combines parcours with historical setting, sci-fi elements, conspiracy theories, sufficiently big open-world, and sadly with an all too familiar over-powerment & kill-em-all mentality. It has pretty visuals but complex controls: i.e. you have to hold 2 buttons + stick just to sprint. After about an hour, it lacks *greatly* in gameplay variety. And the "Animus" sequences seem undetailed & unpolished, in comparison. "Group" combat is dealt with Bruce-Lee-style: one by one. Which is *so* boring - outrunning the enemies makes way more fun. And the ending receives my personal "Worst Cliffhanger in Gaming" award. Like, unacceptably-worst. Despite its flaws, I still like it though.
