Garbage, I can't even think on what the people and media sees in this terrible game. The atmosphere in uninteresting, the scares are cheap and predictable, the monster is more funny than scary, slippery controls and just an absolute shore to play. Absolutely terrible

This game is freaking amazing!

It's impossible to express the massive impact this game had on me in words. It's something elemental, a milestone even. Never before have I played a game that had such a profound, disturbing effect on me like this. It messes with your head, it makes you question everything and may drive you insane. The sheer terror it gives is almost unparalleled. It's horrifying to the bone, creeps your every muscle and scares all your thoughts away.

Draining, stressful and difficult to go through, Amnesia succeeds in creating atmosphere and has some of the best use of jump scares i've ever seen. First time playing is truly breathtaking, something you have to see to believe.

It has flaws though, the horror effect diminished somewhat near the last part mostly because some of the puzzles are really obtuse and can get tedious to go through, but it's an absolute masterpiece for its genre and puts the likes of Resident Evil to shame!

Great game, keeps the adrenaline pumping and provides a lot of fun. Decent story but you can't play the game a second time obviously.

Capable of invoking fear like few other games have, Amnesia is something of a master in the horror genre. The health and sanity balancing mechanic is implemented very well into the game, helping to integrate the enemy encounters in the core gameplay and keeping the whole experienced focused. The story was far better than I was expecting, using the amnesia trope to its full advantage, keeping the player and protagonist Daniel on the same page at all times. The game's biggest problem is one is shares with every horror game I've played - nothing can stay scary for very long - and the last couple of hours were scarce with frights.
