    Saved!
In 1991, Dumbledore hired a man possessed by You-Know-Who to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts, placing the Dark Lord dangerously close to the Philosopher's Stone. This teacher also tried to kill at least one Hogwarts student, and released a troll into the castle.

In 1992, Dumbledore hired a charlatan to teach his students. That's a year of wasted potential education. Those kids will never have that time back. He also tried to wipe the memories of three Hogwarts students (who, at this point, have a sizable case to present to the Ministry of Magic).

In 1994, Dumbledore mistakenly allowed an impersonator of a powerful auror, and a follower of You-Know-Who to roam the school. This fatal mistake allowed the man to facilitate the revival of his master, leading the wizarding world into another era of darkness. This teacher also used a highly illegal mind control spell to try and make a foreign student kill his competitors in the Triwizard Tournament, and attempted to murder the same student who was victim to the two attacks from previous Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers.

This man's had his fair share of fuck-ups.

    But let us continue...

in 1995, the blame of Dumbledore aside, Dolores Umbridge, of the Ministry of Magic, took control of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. As punishment to students, she had them write phrases down with a quill that would then permanently, and painfully inscribe the text into their flesh. To make her Hogwarts career even worse, she even threatened a student with the outlawed cruciatus curse. This lady has a government job?!

"However, prototypes were made available to game developers before December 1994, some of which ended up being sold to private consumers. It is possible that Vernon and Petunia Dursley, as indulgent parents, purchased one of these prototypes for Dudley."
