I mean, e.g. I loved Rayman 4-5, GTA3-4, SimCity 1&4 but don't really enjoy Rayman 1-3, GTA1-2 or SimCity 2&3 ... so, are those my favorite series or not? I don't know. Furthermore it's pretty nonsensical that we're allowed to rank "franchises" that consist of only one game so far.

Saved!Bass260Editing … ^ Yup - 13 and it's unnecessary sequels + the total flop of the original FF14 really tarnished the series reputation. It's actually pretty "uncool" to like FF these days among the younger crowd. Zelda isn't what it used to be either but at least they've kept going with quality releases and bringing that younger audience into the fold. I say this as someone who has Zelda at #2 and FF at #3 :(
