Saved!My top 10 games are all of Japanese origin, which really isn't surprising, but I see that the overall list on Favslist is more mixed. So my question for you guys is: Are your lists composed of Japanese games? American games? Are they more mixed in origin? Do you have a preference for any particular "style" and if so, what do you think defines that style for you?

Saved!NodleyEditing … Mine are a total mix of origin, time, and genre. I seem to like a bit of everything. I have everything from Commodore Amiga management games to PS4 FPS's. And that's just my top 10, the full 100 is very varied. I would imagine the Yanks lists here are very Nintendo heavy because that's all they all seemed to have growing up whilst in Europe we got every console and home computer. Those were great days, after school you'd go play on your friends ZX Spectrum and the next day you'd play on somebody ele's Amstrad CPC then your Commodore 64 after that. One kid would have a Master system and another would have a NES. The cool kids would have a SNES or a Megadrive and the posh kid would have a Commodore Amiga. -
Saved!SudertumEditing … Origin wise my favs are mixed as my thought goes. For genre i am foccussed on strategy (mainly 4x /grand strategy subtype) and simulation (city builder mostly). Other genre should respresented more or less... -
Saved!MrZAPEditing … In terms of developer origin mine are pretty mixed, but the top games are pretty solidly strategy, visual novel, or RPGs, with a few others mixed in, but with strategy games clearly being on top overall. Generally those are Western developers. Japanese developers show more when looking at RPGs and VNs (though there are Westerners there too for both of these) or specifically when looking at Nintendo, or sometimes Sega, Bandai-Namco, or Capcom, the latter two probably being my favorite Japanese developers just based on IPs. Square has some representation too. In terms of platform it's mostly 90s to present, which makes sense. Consoles are far more represented before the 2010s, where they fall off almost completely in favor of PC games, mostly due to me never getting modern consoles (before I recently got a Switch my most recent console was a Wii, which I didn't even get until 2020). -
Saved!NodleyEditing … I need to do some editing on mine, change some rankings up and down but Favslist is such a chore right now. I need a Gran Turismo game higher up the list for sure. I need either civilization, dune II or the settlers bumping right up, or maybe even Syndicate... my god it's just too hard to pick! And I'm cutting loads of other games to try getting certain genres represented more. I've decided I need a top 250, somebody tell the admins.

Saved!MrZAPEditing … I don't really care about genre representation. To me it's all about ranking integrity. If I can keep a consistent gaming list that lines up with sub lists (which I don't think I have perfectly right now) then that's ideal, where one thing is above one thing and below another thing no matter what list you look at or if you splice two lists together.

Saved!NodleyEditing … In a perfect world I'd agree, but the short lists kind of force me into doing it. I realise that there are not many people like me, I've played approximately 50,000 games across every system almost. Do I really need yet another FPS in my list above something like Dune II that literally changed gaming and I spent years playing? This is the way "favourite" games wins instead of "best" We can bin an objectively better game for something else. If my lists were endless then I'd rank things a bit more objectively perhaps. But like I say, I'm probably the only one here and that will ever visit Favslist that has played so many games. Maybe one day we could get every list open to unlimited honourable mentions? For me it's not about scoring points, it's about seeing who I am by seeing my lists.

Saved!It would be really nice to have filters on the lists like some other sites do. Maybe we can do it once the important stuff is fixed? I'd like to see a favourite games list without Yankland users for example.

Saved!Hai @Husky senpai! So I deleted my entire list because it was just easier to redo it from scratch, but I can't delete my honorable mentions. They're just kind of welded on the end of my list forever, and it won't let me re-rank any of the pages that still reside there. I imagine there would be a similar issue if I started tweaking my ATF movies list. Not sure if this is an easy fix for you or Raf, but I thought I'd ask.

Saved!SandvichEditing … Huh, crazy, my ATF movies list has the honorable mentions now listed proper going all the way up to 100, fully editable. Very odd glitch with just the ATF games, as far as I can tell.

Then users can decide to drop whatever they have. Because … the honorable mentions feature itself is not gonna come quite soon, I reckon. I deem Pages to be more important. — Also, I'm kind of in the middle of some other feature; so, not sure whether this would make it into the next release.

Saved!I really thought hard about the choices on most of my system lists today. I think I've finally nailed my picks. But damn, I didn't think I'd rank Capcom Vs. SNK 2 so high. I played that game too much in college. Lol.

Mass Effect 2: I find boring and drop it after 10 hour.
The Last of Us: A perfect story e perfect gameplay.
Skyrim: Make me become a fan of the Elder Scrolls saga.
FFVII: The best JRPG ever
MGS3: better than any movie.
Shadow of the Colossus: poetry and epicity, make me cry at the end.
MGS1: It was revolutionary and perfect writen.
Portal 2: Didn't like, find boring the first one was better.
Red Dead Redemption: It's ok but nothing more.
Chrono Trigger: One of the best battle system ever.
Bioshock: Absolute masterpiece.
Fallout 3: The most shocking game of the generation. Masterpiece.
Persona 4: din't played.
Super Mario World: Not one of my favorite but respect to SMW.
Half-Life 2:
Uncharted 2: Good graphic but nothing more. Not a fan of Uncharted.
Mass Effect: Not a fan, best in the series.
Resident Evil 4: On gamecube it was amazing.
Super Mario 64: The best platform ever.
Dark Souls: Good it very intersting the gameplay is not perfect.
Zelda Wind Waker: One of the best Zelda ever.
Zelda Majora's Mask: Still amaze me the world of Termina. Genial.
Bioshock Infinite: The best FPS series ever.
Zelda A Link to the Past: Old style at its best.
Final Fantasy VI: Find it boring after 8 hour. Can't jude it.
Portal: A refreshing game.
Smash Melee: I hate it.
FFX: The last good FF. Worse than PSX generation.
Star Wars KotOR: Tried.
Pokemon Gold and Silver: Junk.
The Walking Dead: Only good.
GTA San Andreas: Trash game whit al lot to do.
Pokemon Red and Blue: Burn it.
Super Mario Bros. 3: Not my favorite.
Super Mario Galaxy: Best mario concept after SM64.
Super Metroid: Only for hardcore gaming.
FFIX: Adorable story you can't stop play it-
Dragon Age: Origins: Not my tipe og game.
Mass Effect 3: Never Played
Fallout New Vegas: Tried to like it but i prefer replaying Fallout 3.
GTA V: San Andreas HD
Batman Arkham City: I hate Batman but the game was cool.
Zelda: Twilight Princess: kinda want to try it
Oblivion: I still have to play it.
Persona 3: Never played
MGS4: Most drammatic game ever. The Metal Gear Solid Saga ends here.
Minecraft: The concept is really good but i hate all youtuber minecraft player.
Assasin's Creed II: It was good not a masterpiece.
Metriod Prime: Hardcore gaming. It's amazing and i'm not a fan of it. -

Saved!Dr EggnogEditing … The sprite graphics I find the loveliest are Zelda Oracle of Seasons, Final Fantasy V, and Stardew Valley. A Link to the Past I don't like looking at, though not as much as Final Fantasy VI. -
Saved!AxersiaEditing … Eh, ALTTP looks fine but I don't think it really stands out like EarthBound and Seiken Densetsu 3. Nor should it, since it came out a lot earlier. I do agree that FF5 is much nicer on the eyes than FF6 though, but FF6 has higher graphical fidelity. It just doesn't have as much color and looks really muddy.

Saved!Making these huge ass lists is hard. Especially putting all in their right spots, I can guarantee that Final Fantasy 7 and Lufia 2 are on the right spots, after that it's kinda hazy.

Saved!I'm a bit surprised the Witcher 3 isn't higher. There are some good games on here, but placed at 85th? I would expect to see it somewhere within the top 20, as much as everyone I talk to seems to like it.

Saved!PapissamaEditing … Boosted lists will be for people who participate to the site. For example, the requirements to rank a 100 games will be to rank, rate, like OR review 500 games. Once reached, the ability to rank 100 games will be unlocked and your list will have more weight in the global ranking. That will the case for all lists. -
