Wow, Firaxis have really improved the performance of XCOM 2 since I last played it. With anti-aliasing set at its default at FXAA and everything else maxed I'm still getting a smooth 60 fps. Bumping it up to MSAA 2X and above absolutely tanks it, but FXAA works alright for this sort of game. This comparison also comes before and after the Meltdown patch that has seriously throttled my CPU performance in other high end games. This performance increase might actually surpass the already impressive post-launch support CD Projekt Red did for the Witcher 3. Fuckin' A, Firaxis!
